After a break of some years, EFTTEX 2023 was always going to be regarded with some caution by the trade and, sure enough, there were some notable absences for UK and international brands at this year’s event.
One notable exception was EFTTEX stalwarts and ATA members Dinsmores who not only exhibited but triumphed with three awards in the EFTTEX 2023 Best Product Showcase.
Dinsmores has been attending EFTTEX for over 38 years, having only missed two shows since their export journey began, and the show has always represented a vital part of the annual marketing plan for owner Nigel.
“We have always benefitted from the coming together that is the EFTTEX show. We have met most of the people involved in our export network at this show, and we get to see the customers face to face, which for a business like ours is very cost effective”.
For those in the know, Dinsmores were one of the earliest if not the first company to properly invest in the non-toxic weight development and bring lead free products to the market. Years ahead of the curve, Dinsmores have finally received the recognition for that pioneering work and reaped their rewards in the form of the EFTTEX overall green product award for products offering the best green solution for angling.
The winning products that contributed to the overall green award were their successful nontoxic shot in a range of sizes which captured best accessory, and the aptly named Stealth egg shot which crept in to snatch success in the terminal tackle category.
This is a great result for the firm and a result for British manufacturing, which is still sadly lacking an industry that relies on a vibrant ecosystem and needs to do more to reduce its carbon footprint.
