The 2026 European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition (EFTTEX) is all set to take place in Barcelona from June 10th to 12th. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.
EFTTEX has always been THE key European tackle trade event and this year in Barcelona, you can expect a mix of business talk, new products, networking opportunities, useful business insights and even some fun in. the shape of virtual fishing game.
Visitor registration
Visitor registration is live and, if you‘re quick, you can grab a cut-price ticket.
There is an early bird rate but this will finish on June 5th. After feedback from last year’s event, the organisers have reduced the prices for 2026.

Exhibitor guests
Another way to bring in more visitors and buyers to the show is for exhibitors to invite as many of their clients as they wish to visit the show – invitational tickets free! There is no limit!

Intellectual property sessions
This year IP lawyer Tania Clark will be holding two informal sessions during the first day of show, Wednesday, June 10th, at 10am and 3pm inside the exhibition hall at the Fira Barcelona Montjuic.
During these sessions Tania will explain why you should register your products for IP reasons and what can happen if you don’t.
VR fishing game
New to EFTTEX for 2026 is a VR game experience in association with Real VR Fishing, where exhibitors and visitors will have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of virtual reality.
Groups of up to four people will be able to compete against each other for a small prize using Meta Quest 3 VR headsets and play the Real VR Fishing game. The five-minute experience will be run on stand A50 inside the hall on all three show days.
Best New Product competition
The Best New Product Awards 2026 will celebrate the diversity of fishing across Europe and the innovations in tackle that drive our industry forward.
With 30 categories to choose from, there’s a perfect platform to showcase your latest products and give the visibility they deserve.
In keeping with the growth of technology, the organisers have introduced an additional category: Apparel & General – Best App.
Exhibitors can enter up to 12 products for judging, which will take place on Wednesday, June 10th and Thursday, June 11th until midday. Judges will be asked to choose their favourite product in every category using the following criteria: innovation, usability, design, quality and practicality.
A judge’s first choice will be awarded three points, two for second choice and one for third choice, before being totalled.
The closing date for entries is June 2nd and no products will be accepted after this date.
Exhibitors will need to take their product samples to the Best New Product Stand (stand G50) between 9am and 5pm on Tuesday, June 9th.
*A category will only be judged if it has a minimum of three entries.
Winners will announced on Thursday, June 11th from 6pm to 7.30pm at the Best New Product Award Stage inside the hall. There will be beer/wine/soft drinks and snacks available.

Getting there
Just off Gran Via and located right in Barcelona’s city centre, Montjuïc Venue is ideally situated in an extremely vibrant area.
The vast venue is conveniently linked by the local public transport network to both the metropolitan downtown and nearby El Prat International Airport (14 km).
Barcelona Airport handles more than 940 flights per day to 141 destinations (30 intercontinental) and over 52 million passengers per year.
Fira Montjuïc is accessible from the airport using the new Metro Line 9, train and bus connections.
Plaça Espanya metro station and FGC Train station are the solution to reach Montjuïc venue by public transport from the city centre and surrounding areas.
