As the fishing village at this summer’s Game Fair at Raley Hall continues to grow, the organisers are offering an amazing 15 per cent discount off tickets for the event to Environment Agency rod licence holders in England and Wales.
The Game Fair Fishing Village – running at the event from July 24th to 26th beside the stunning estate lake at Ragley Hall near Alcester, Warwickshire – is THE place to be to see the latest gear, meet celebrities and experts, enjoy casting demos, listen to talks, watch some amazing fishing movies and even catch a fish or two.
The Environment Agency and the team from Calverton Fish Farm will once again bringing their fish tank full of native fish, so visitors can see what swims in our rivers and lakes.
The team will also be on hand to answer any questions about fish, fishing or rod licences.
Meanwhile, come and meet River Monsters star Jeremy Wade, relax and enjoy casting demo demonstrations, join the Canal & River Trust coaches to get some expert tips and catch a few fish on the lake, listen to talks in the Landing Stage fishing theatre from the Dirty Business stars, among others, and get your hands on new tackle courtesy of retailer Garry Evans.
You’ll be able to quiz the angling Trades Association team about the tackle industry, try your hand at the CastsPro baitcasting competition with a trophy and cash up for grabs, get some valuable fly casting tuition from Orvis and Fly Fishers International or join the British Fly Casting Club’s accuracy and distance competitions on the pontoons.
Look out, too, for the giant TV screen in the fishing village. Pull up a straw bale or YETI cooler and enjoy a selection of angling movies from the Fly Fishing Film Tour throughout the weekend.
