Plans are shaping up nicely for the fourth Daiwa Global Communities Celebration event, taking place on the Shropshire Union Canal on Saturday, October 17th, with 43 teams set to fish.

In all, around 230 young anglers representing teams from Australia to Bangladesh and Indonesia to South Africa, aged from seven to 20-years-old ,will be taking part, fishing the stretch between Norbury junction and Market Drayton after the day has started with an opening flag ceremony.

Also being presented on the day will be the winners of the Let’s Fish end of season awards, in eight categories.

The global celebration started life as a 60-peg Commonwealth Games junior fishing demonstration event, with Canal & River Trust working in partnership with Daiwa from 2023 to host this end of season finale to the Let’s Fish programme, which has grown in size and prestige each year.
