The organisers of the new HOOKED! National Fishing Festival – being rebuilt for 2027 – are asking the trade for their help to produce a modern angling event.
The team at Elevate Exhibitions have sent out a mailer to the UK tackle trade – including manufacturers, retailers, media, fisheries and clubs – asking for its views on what a new fishing show should look like.
They said: “The UK angling industry deserves a national event that reflects where the market is today – diverse, dynamic, and full of opportunity.
“That’s why HOOKED! National Fishing Festival is being rebuilt for 2027 as a platform designed to deliver measurable ROI for brands.
“With a proposed Midlands location and timing aligned with National Fishing Month, HOOKED! is being shaped as a powerful commercial moment for manufacturers, retailers, media partners and the wider trade.”
It stressed this is a complete rethink of what a modern angling event should be and will be built to deliver what the industry at large really wants.
Information the organisers are seeking includes which features deliver real trade value, what barriers prevent exhibitors from engaging and how they could be removed, ideas for zones, demos or themes attract target customers and what would encourage greater participation, as well as exhibitor benefits.
Ideas include:
- Engage stronger trade – direct access to buyers and decision‑makers.
- Deliver better outcomes – sales, leads, and brand authority.
- Wider audiences – families, beginners, and enthusiasts across all disciplines.
- Compelling features – demos, activations and headline attractions that pull real footfall.
- Cross-discipline connection – one national moment for the entire industry.
The team added: “This festival is being engineered as the commercial stage the angling trade can build on now and into the future.
“With the right support, this will become the annual moment where the angling world comes together to do business, celebrate the sport and inspire the next generation.”
