Kent-based angling retailer The Tackle Box has reconfirmed its support for Fishing For Schools, the organisation which provides angling opportunities for young people.
Based in Dartford, The Tackle Box has a strong reputation for stocking a wide range of leading brands alongside its own expertly designed products, and its support helps provide young people in the Kent area with the chance to learn new skills, build confidence and learn through spending time outdoors.
The Tackle Box said: “In the face of increasing financial pressure from legislation and trade margins we have had to reduce our ‘Good Causes’ activities for now; however, it is testament to how important the work of Charles Jardine and his team [at Fishing For Schools] is to us and angling in general, that we continue our support by again sponsoring a local school to participate this year.”
In partnership with The Tackle Box, the organisation can deliver sessions at Waterfront UTC in Gillingham this year, giving students the chance to step outside the classroom, learn new skills and build confidence through hands-on activity.
Fishing for Schools director Charles Jardine added: “For 40 years, The Tackle Box has been a source of inspiration to me and to anglers throughout the UK.
“The Peet brothers and the wider team have offered the kind of knowledge and support that anglers thrive on. As brilliant anglers themselves, they have the gravitas and kudos to deliver! To have their backing for Fishing for Schools means so much to me personally, and to the young people in Kent.”
