A string of keynote speakers are lining up for this year’s European Fishing Tackle Trade Association Angling Summit, taking place at the end of this month in Berlin.

With talks on everything from an EU fishing data gathering app to the latest regulations to how to safeguard fish stocks, the event at hub27, messeBerlin on Thursday, November 27th will have something for everyone in the trade.

Researcher, advisor and health promoter Els Torreele will look at how to build trust and better data in EU recreational fisheries while European Commission Fisheries Control Expert Joana Patrício will share insights on the European Union’s Fishers app and how it will work when reporting rules come in next year.

Prof Robert Arlinghaus from IGB and Humbolt University will discuss using harvest slots to safeguard fish stocks and ensure the future of our sport, Peter Lyngby, the president of the Danish Tackle Trade Association, will detail some of the ways that angling in Denmark has been improved and why angler numbers are rising.

Attorney Markku Vierelä will outline a strategy for sustainable growth and wellbeing as part of Finland’s fishing tourism initiative.
