Changes have come into force for legal limits on size or number of fish for both spurdog and sea bass, with a new Statutory Instrument coming into effect from Friday, February 27th.

This Statutory Instrument formally removes the 100cm maximum landing size for spurdog and updates the recreational bag limit for seabass from two to three fish per angler per day.

The relevant Defra team are currently considering the continuation for the National Steering Group for spurdog and will issue any updates in due course.
