The representative body for European fishers – the European Anglers Alliance (EAA) – says its newly redesigned website will be a platform for everyone in the sport.

The site – www.eaa-europe.eu – will provide anglers, policymakers and stakeholders with a clearer and more accessible overview of EAA’s work to promote recreational fisheries, healthy aquatic ecosystems and living rivers across Europe.

It also strengthens communication with Europe’s angling community by offering a more accessible and user-friendly structure, while also serving as a central hub for information on EU policies affecting the sport

Visitors can access a wide range of information on the new website, including a dedicated section presenting the organisation’s structure and governance, its member organisations and partners across Europe, as well as the mission and vision guiding EAA’s work in representing and supporting the European recreational angling community.

There is detailed information on EU policy and advocacy work affecting recreational fishing, such as developments related to the Water Framework Directive, fisheries management, biodiversity policy and river restoration.

Visitors will also discover news and updates on key political developments, events and initiatives from EAA and its members across Europe alongside position papers and policy statements outlining the views of the European recreational angling community on major environmental and fisheries issues.

EAA president Mark Owen said: “With this new website, the European Anglers Alliance now has a clearer and more accessible platform to present our work at European level.

“By consolidating content and simplifying the website’s structure, it offers a more user-friendly experience while strengthening the visibility of Europe’s recreational anglers and highlighting the importance of protecting fish stocks, living rivers and aquatic ecosystems on which our sector depends.”
