The inaugural Sea Angling Classic, taking place from June 15th to 19th in Portsmouth, will see anglers compete for the most valuable prize table in a UK sea angling boat fishing event, with £200,000 worth of prizes

In fact, there are 60 prizes in all across the two categories –Recreational Boat and Charter Boat.

The Recreational Boat category boasts a £150,000 table with the winning team taking the top prize of a high-spec, fully rigged Extreme 745 Game King and trailer with a Mercury V8 4.6lt Pro XS 250 engine, fitted out with the Lowrance Ultimate Fishing System.

However, in an exciting twist at the Sea Angling Classic prizegiving on Sunday, June 19th, the winning team will face a tricky decision.

Live on stage the winners will be presented with the keys to the boat and £50,000 in cash and have 60 seconds to choose which prize they wish to take!

A tough decision particularly when the cash option includes use of the prize boat at various fishing competitions throughout the UK for a year.

Second placed winners in the Recreational Boat category will receive a Seakeeper system installed by Osmotech. Known for its boat-roll eliminating gyro stabilisers, Seakeeper is serious about making stabilisation a reality for all and has been developing new products so boats down to 7m in size can now benefit from a Seakeeper gyro stabiliser onboard and not miss out on hot fishing spots and catches due to tough seas.

Other prizes include Penn fishing equipment, Spinlock lifejackets provided by insurance partner Pantaenius, VIP tours to the Isle of Wight including a visit to the Mermaid Gin distillery with a meal, gin tasting, and winners will be invited to choose their favourite gins to take home.

The champions also have the opportunity to become part of the Okuma Fishing Team, as well as receiving Okuma and 13 Fishing equipment and clothing.

It doesn’t stop there, for the winners, though, as a VIP tour to the Isle of Wight is included with Spinlock lifejackets for all the team, and a Mermaid Gin gourmet meal at the distillery where the winners will be invited to choose their favourite gin to the value of £2000, a Lowrance Fishfinder and 2 Reuben Heaton sets of scales.

Sea Angling Classic founder Ross Honey, said: “I am thrilled to finally reveal the full Prize Table for the Sea Angling Classic. Event plans are all coming together now and taking shape for an incredible competition in June and the prize tables are an important part of this.

“To be able to offer such a large range of prizes from equipment and clothing to trips and experiences, to the possibility of winning an amazing fishing boat is so exciting! I am extremely thankful to our event partners who are playing an important part in offering this prize table and making it the highest value that anglers have ever seen before in a UK competition.”
