Tackle giant Shimano will be giving anglers the chance to pit their wits against some seriously big fish at the Get Into Fishing area at The Game Fair this summer.

Visitors to the lakeside setting at Ragley Hall will not only be able to see some of Shimano’s cool rods and reels but will also have the chance to try out its amazing fishing simulator and battle it out with their choice of fish using Shimano kit.

Shimano ambassadors will also be on hand throughout the weekend on the firm’s fully kitted out trailer to offer help and advice to would-be anglers and experienced hands alike.

There will be combo set ups for people to try covering match, carp and predator fishing scenarios so you will be able to find the one that is right for you and your interests.

The Get Into Fishing village at The Game Fair has been backed by the UK’s Angling Trades Association (ATA), with many key brands in attendance and a host of activities to introduce anyone to the sport or give them more advice.

Ian Latham at Shimano UK said: “We are delighted to be supporting the ATA’s fishing initiative at The Game Fair. We see this as a great opportunity to encourage people into the great sport of angling.

“This will also give us the chance to engage with existing anglers and to showcase our newest product releases to them. We will have our team of consultants on hand to help with any queries or advice that may be sought by anyone showing an interest in angling.”
