There was plenty to celebrate for ATA member and shot and accessory manufacturer Dinsmores at the recent EFTTEX 2025 show in Brussels, as the company scooped an award in the coveted Best New Products Showcase.
The firm’s Stealth Egg Shot (Non-Toxic) was awarded first place in Winner Best Fly Fishing Accessory category during the gala dinner at the European trade event.
Dinsmore’s Nigel May explained: “We developed our egg-shaped shot specifically for nymph fishing and fly fishing, where a streamlined non-toxic split shot was needed to be placed 20 to 25cm from the nymph, ensuring the fly fishes in the strike zone.
“Egg shot comes in five sizes and four matt colours to suit all river bed conditions and is presented in a functional dial up dispenser for easy selection.”
Egg shot is made from Dinsmores’ Non-Toxic material, which is easy to open and close, with the matt coating acting as a buffer protecting the tippet when applied.
Nigel added: “We were delighted to have won this award as a British manufacturing company based in Aldridge, West Midlands. This prize comes at a very good time with pending EU lead restrictions and the market looking for viable lead alternatives that really work!”
