National Fishing Month is the UK’s primary initiative to increase public awareness of angling and encourage participation in the many angling events and access days that are run during the month.

Run annually by the ATA, it encourages every family member to have a go at fishing – regardless of their age, gender or cultural or social background.

No previous fishing experience is required as the aim of the campaign is to demonstrate that fishing really is for everyone!

Fishery owners, organisers and qualified and insured angling coaches give up their valuable time to support National Fishing Month and hundreds of events which are staged around the UK under the NFM banner.

NFM is an Angling Trades Association brand and is organised by the Angling Trust with support from the Environment Agency, the Canal and River Trust, angling clubs and fisheries and coaches around the country.
