Our Initiatives

An ATA branded initiative that promotes engagement with angling, the TAFF concept provides the opportunity for existing anglers to take a friend fishing on their licence during certain designated times of the year. A simple registration process is all that is required and you can potentially recruit someone into the sport.

A hugely popular ATA initiative to get people to try fishing for the first time and engage them with the great outdoors. NFM is run in conjunction with our delivery partners and supported by the Environment Agency and the Canal & River Trust. Hundreds of events across the country during August aimed at inspiring the next generation of anglers.

The Angling Trust is the representative body for game, coarse and sea anglers in England and Wales.

The Angling Coaches Association (ACA) are a support organisation for a nationwide network of fully qualified, licenced angling coaches.

The BDAA was founded in 1996 to develop opportunities for disabled people of all ages and abilities to access the activity of fishing in the UK.

GAIA was established in 1967 to maintain the high standards of game angling instructors.

The Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors, was formed in 2003 to enhance the practise and enjoyment of fly fishing and fly dressing by anglers of all ages and ability levels.

Angling Cymru is the National governing body for recreational angling in Wales.

Established in 2020, Tackling Minds offers support via angling to people with a wide range of issues including mental health, addiction, disabilities and much more.

The Environment Agency work to create better places for people and wildlife, and support sustainable development.

ANLRS is a volunteer lead not for profit organisation dedicated to the recycling of fishing line.
